How to Celebrate a Royal Wedding

Dear Student

I am pleased to announce that the University will treat April 29th, 2011 as a holiday, in recognition of the Royal Wedding and the Scottish Government's decision to designate the date a public holiday.

Staff will be given this day as an additional, non-transferrable, day of leave. April 29th 2011 will be an historic day for the university. If you have any suggestions on how best we might mark the occasion, please do not hesitate to pass your ideas along to our Events office at 600@st-andrews.ac.uk

With kind regards

Louise Richardson
Principal and Vice-Chancellor

  2. Ridiculous. I just saw The Kings Speech. So, other than radio addresses, what DO they do?

  3. I think there actually are a limited (like, two) number of tickets for "commoners." Mostly, royalty is a kind of symbolic presence, but a lot of people are very, very devoted to them.
