Where we've been...

Before I get to the return, it only seems fair to spend a little time on where we've been (see previous post for Matt's recap). Although we were in the Northwest for five weeks, it flew by with what seemed like non-stop eating, drinking, and catching up with friends and family. No complaints here!

Christmas was a whirlwind of family and presents, punctuated with huge meals and trips to the bars to catch up with other out of town friends.

We rang in the New Year with Abby and Des's wedding, more food, dancing, and possibly too much wine. I also got a chance to see some of my wonderful friends from my horse days, which happens far too infrequently!

Our time in Bellingham was split between "the office" (work for me, and the Black Drop for Matt), lots of cooking and eating, hitting up our favorite local spots, and seeing as many of our friends as possible. We also spent as much time as we could in Sammamish seeing family, eating even more, and playing lots of Farkle!

Matt went shooting one day too!

Finally, it was time to head back to St. Andrews, and after three planes and three buses, we arrived at our flat around 5 pm yesterday. It was an excellent return, complete with mail (!), nachos, bubbly, and a clean flat. Thanks James and Andie! Today, we did a lot of sleeping, went to the grocery store, and did some monumental "turning in" (Matt's first chapter and my PhD application). We've got some changes on the horizon, but you'll have to wait a bit for more news. In the meantime, I should probably get to unpacking the bags so we can see our floor again!

  1. Changes? News? Is someone prego? Sorry, the premiere of "The Pregnancy Pact" has tainted my thoughts.
