An Open Letter...

Dear jet lag,

I really appreciate how much you let us sleep the past few days. I recovered from my cold, and we caught up on all the sleep we missed while traveling (and then some). But now, you've changed. You're demanding that we don't sleep between the hours of 2 am and 6 am, and that we not make coffee dates with friends at 11 am because it will be difficult to be on time. Naps must only be during daylight, and should last at least three hours. It's unreasonable, jet lag, don't you see that?

So, we're going to have to go our separate ways. We had a good run, but there are things we need to do here. I don't think it's asking too much to be awake when it's light out, or finish unpacking, or be able to cook dinner before 9 pm.

We don't want to stay friends.

Sincerely,
Chelsea and Matt

  1. Breaking up over the internet? That's pretty harsh. I can't believe you didn't have the balls to do it in person.

  2. You need to start taking Nyquil out on dates. Or better yet, Nyquil's friend Ambien. Ambien puts out on the first date and won't care if you don't call the next day.

  3. On a wholly unrelated note...I really want us to go to London together. Partially because I'm listening to the Winning London soundtrack, partially because I'm obsessed with The Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
