Already?

It seems like spring has barely started to tease us with warmth and sunshine, but it's already time to start thinking about summer. Matt recently found out that he was accepted to the Deleuze Studies conference in July, which means we have an unexpected extra month to stick around before heading back to the Northwest.

Our lease here ends June 15th, and we're planning on heading to Spain for a bit and then ending up in Amsterdam before the conference, which starts July 12th. On the 15th, we'll hop on a plane to Seattle, get in a car and head to Bend, Oregon for Mark and Sarah's wedding, and then drive back up north so I can start summer work and we can attend another wedding the following weekend.

Here's where you come in, readers and lurkers (it's time to come out of the virtual woodwork!): Any ideas for where we should go or what we should do during our month of homeless traveling? If you've traveled over here, where were your favorite (cheap) places to visit? Are you one of our friends in Europe? Do you want us to come visit you?

The comments section is open for suggestions!

  1. Portugal! Portugal is very, very cheap. And it was a blast. And, you know, France is pretty awesome. Not so cheap, but you can *MAKE* it cheap!

  4. No offense to the France nuthuggers, but its expensive, the people are mean and if you don't speak french don't go anywhere but Paris. I'm sure some people will disagree and wax on about the culture, wine and food, but all that can be had elsewhere in Europe where the people actually like Americans. Germany and Austria are pretty awesome.
