Celebrate!

Over Christmas, Sky requested that we start blogging about more mundane things, like grocery shopping. Exciting stuff, right? Coincidentally, right after our return to St Andrews, a new grocery store opened in our tiny town...directly across the street from the only other store, Tesco. (Well, there are two other stores just outside of town, but this is the kind of place where anything more than five minutes away is a "trek.") Around here, this is big news. After all, shopping at Tesco is an exciting daily event - from the tiny aisles that force intimacy while browsing for cheese to the twenty minute queues (on a good day). Braving the store any time after 3 pm requires serious fortitude.



Anyways, nothing particularly exciting has come out of the competition but we did stumble across a fabulous new beverage: Crabbie's ginger beer. In the fall, James introduced us to Crabbie's ginger wine (served with a healthy splash of whisky), and the beer is a deliciously carbonated version - perfect for celebrating everything from my recent PhD acceptance, to Matt's half birthday (and my actual birthday), to cruelly overlooked occasions like "Tuesday!" or "I finished a book!"

We've been finding lots of reasons to celebrate lately, but feel free to make suggestions in the comments of anything we might have overlooked!
